Police make arrest in fatal Hyde Street shooting

UPDATE: Detectives with the Greensboro Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested David Lee White, Jr., 21 of Greensboro in Lexington earlier today in connection with the fatal shooting of Tyquan Vonricco Washington, 18, on Hyde St.
White was developed as a suspect in the homicide through the efforts of officers with the Police Neighborhood Resource Center, who serve the Greensboro Housing Authority communities
White is charged with First Degree Murder. He is confined in the Guilford County Jail without bond.
Police Investigating Fatal Shooting on Hyde Street

GREENSBORO, NC (Feb. 13, 2018) – Greensboro police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred outside 702 Hyde St.
First responders were dispatched there at approximately 10:54 am after GM911 received a call about a shooting. Arriving officers found an adult male in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS performed emergency life-saving measures on the man, however, he was pronounced deceased at Moses Cone Hospital.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting followed a dispute between the deceased and one other person. The nature of the dispute is unclear. A suspect has not been identified.
Police are interviewing witnesses while Crime Scene Investigators are collecting evidence.
