Suspect shot by police during homicide investigation in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A suspect was shot by police during a homicide investigation on Monday afternoon, according to a news release from Greensboro police.
The shooting happened at 3:25 p.m. at the Hamptons At Country Park apartment complex.
Greensboro police were helping Danville, Virginia, homicide detectives in the apprehension 30-year-old Diairion Marqui Davis, of Reidsville.
Danville police said Davis is a person of interest in the shooting death of Arthur OBrian Anderson.
Davis was in a vehicle when officers found him. While officers were trying to take him into custody, he pulled out a handgun, according to Greensboro police. Officers then shot Davis.
Davis was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Davis faces two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He also has a fugitive warrant out of Danville for possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon.
