Teen Shooting Victim Succumbs to Wounds

GREENSBORO, NC (Aug. 21, 2017) – A local teen who was shot on E. Bessemer Ave. on Aug. 16 was pronounced deceased early Sat. morning, changing the nature of the crime from an aggravated assault to a homicide.
Tyquon Rashawn Curry, 18, of 406 Holt Ave., was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound at approximately 7:46 pm by dumpsters in the parking lot of the Montessori School at 3012 Bessemer Ave. Arriving officers and EMS performed CPR on Curry who was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he remained until his death.
Police are following leads.

Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the individual responsible.
