Residents Invited to Preview Final Design of Summit Avenue Streetscape

GREENSBORO, NC (February 13, 2018) – The City of Greensboro will host a public information meeting on the Summit Avenue Streetscape Project from 6-8 pm, February 22, at the Greensboro History Museum, 130 Summit Ave.

Residents may drop in at any time to view the final design and engineering plans and provide feedback on landscape and hardscape features, such as plantings and lighting preferences.
The project team will also be taking comments online until March 8. Visit www.GreensboroSummitProject.com to view project details and submit comments.

The project will provide streetscape enhancements along Summit Avenue from LeBauer Park to the railroad underpass, from Percy Street to Sullivan Street, and along Yanceyville Street from East Lindsay Street to East Bessemer Avenue. The project will provide better storm drainage, new landscaped medians, bicycle lanes, and decorative street lighting. This project is funded by the 2008 and 2016 voter-approved Community and Economic Development Bonds.
