Police Department Appoints Interim Public Information Officer

GREENSBORO, NC (April 13, 2018) – The Greensboro Police Department is pleased to appoint Ron Glenn as its interim Public Information Officer following the departure of its incumbent, Susan Danielsen.
Glenn joined GPD in March 2017 as a Multi-Media Specialist, and has proven himself to be a skilled communicator, videographer, and photographer. He has been one of the faces behind the department’s social media platforms, providing appealing and informative content to thousands of followers.

Danielsen came on board as GPD’s first PIO in 2011 after responding to a tiny ad in the Greensboro News and Record. “My time with the Greensboro Police Department has been incredibly fulfilling and rewarding,” she stated. “I was unbelievably fortunate to work among some of the most caring and professional employees in the city. The officers and non-sworn personnel have a deep-rooted passion for helping others, and give so much of themselves to make the lives of others better.”
Danielsen is leaving to pursue an educational opportunity.
