City Launches Mobile App for Recycling and Trash Info

GREENSBORO, NC (February 13, 2018) – Greensboro Field Operations has launched a new mobile phone app – GSO Collects — that tells residents everything they need to know about the City’s residential recycling and trash collection operations. The free app is available for Apple and Android.

“If you get the GSO Collects App, you’ll never miss a collection again,” said Tori Carle, Greensboro’s recycling program manager. “The app let’s you set reminders to put out your yard waste, recycling, or that old chair you’ve got taking up space in the garage. The app will also notify you if there is any service change due to a holiday or inclement weather.”

GSO Collects also helps residents determine which items are recyclable or should be taken to the household hazardous waste collection site. Visit www.greensboro-nc.gov/collects for more information and to use the desktop version of the app.
