City Announces Weather Closures and Delays for Tuesday, April 17

GREENSBORO, NC (April 17, 2018) – The following Greensboro Parks and Recreation facilities and programs are closed, opening late or rescheduled due to the recent storm damage and related power outages.

The following facilities will be closed today, or until power is restored and conditions improve: Barber Park, Gateway Gardens, Keeley Park, and Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion.

The following facilities will operate on a limited schedule today to support community needs: Peeler Community Recreation Center and Windsor Community Recreation Center.
Note, regularly scheduled activities at Peeler and Windsor are canceled today.

A Red Cross Emergency Shelter continues to operate 24 hours per day at Glenwood Community Recreation Center.

The following facilities will remain closed indefinitely due to hazardous conditions until clean-up can be completed: Bluford Park and Kings Forest Park.

Park and trail users are encouraged to exercise caution and good judgment today as hazardous conditions may be present.
