Northeast Middle Cheers for Math

WHAT: There is frequently cheering in the Northeast Middle gymnasium, and referees often roam the basketball court. But on Friday, February 9, the school will be cheering for math. Northeast Middle will host its first school-wide math competition called MathFest. A team from Math Champions will help them coordinate the engaging event, which helps students practice math in a fun and competitive way. In the event, students may qualify for the regional competition in Atlanta. It’s also a good way to practice for end of grade tests. WHEN: Competitions by grade level are scheduled for 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., Friday.

WHERE: Northeast Middle, 6720 McLeansville Road, McLeansville, NC 27301
