Greensboro Police searching for robbery suspect after shots fired

Greensboro, N.C. —

UPDATE 9:00 p.m.: Police are searching for a robbery suspect after shots were fired in west Greensboro.

Officers received a shots fired call at 7:34 p.m. at the Advanced Auto Parts store at 4619 West Market Street, said Susan Danielsen, Greensboro Police Department public information officer.


The victim followed the suspect in their car to the West Market Street location after a robbery at another location, Danielsen said. The victim and suspect stopped in the parking lot of the business and the suspect fired shots at the victim. No one was injured.

Police are looking for the suspect who fled the scene on foot. Danielsen said officers have set up a perimeter and are are using K-9 officers in their search.

Police dispatchers say they received a call about gunfire at 7:34 p.m. near the Advanced Auto Parts store at 4619 West Market Street.

No injuries have been reported and no roads are closed in the area.

Officers are using K-9 officers to search for clues in the case.
