MCLEANSVILLE, N.C. — One local business is stepping up to help the family of the Greensboro delivery driver murdered on Sunday.

Corner Pocket Billiards in McLeansville is planning a benefit event for this Friday to help raise money to sent 30-year-old Bakri Khidir’s body back to his home country of Sudan. His parents still live there.

“We like to help out anyone we can in the community especially when they needed it the worst and right now we feel like his family, his wife and children, need this, need some help and we’re going to do our best to put a benefit together,” head bartender Jill Turner said.
