A viewer sent in an email asking about her work situation. It reads, “Employees were told not to come to work due to the weather.

Now, regardless of the fact that we were not allowed to come in, we are being forced to take a sick day/personal day/ or day without pay.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Rain, sleet or snow – that’s the motto we’ve come to associate with the United States Postal Service. Quick point about that: it’s not the official motto and hasn’t been used in ads in decades. Anyway the word blizzard is not included.

And as of Friday mail service from the Gulf Coast and up the East Coast was significantly impacted. In fact a weather alert on the post office website shows all post offices in the triad area were closed. No mail delivery. Period.

Saturday all post offices opened, but with the explainer: mail will be delivered in neighborhoods safely accessible.

Triad Goodwill will host a hiring event for seasonal staff on Wednesday, February 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the stadium located at 1235 South Eugene Street. Park across the street at the church and use the “Resource Center” entrance.

The Greensboro Grasshoppers and Professional Sports Catering will be hiring part time employees for positions like Ticket Sales Associates, Ushers, Custodians, Retail Store Attendants, Cashiers, Grill Cooks, Dishwashers, and Warehouse Personnel. Bilingual workers are encouraged to apply.
