Baseball Stadium Checks Swing On County Tax Dispute

Greensboro Baseball LLC is withdrawing an appeal it filed with the State of North Carolina’s Property Tax Commission in July over the Guilford County Tax Department’s claim that Downtown Greensboro Renaissance LLC (DGR) owed about $90,000 for years of back taxes on items in the Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball stadium.

General Assembly Gives Birth To New Campaign Committees

Gov. Pat McCrory signed into law a bill that moves North Carolina’s presidential and other primary elections to March 15, 2016.  This should put North Carolina in the thick of things in the presidential primaries.  In the past, North Carolina’s primary in May was often insignificant, since the presidential nominees had already been decided.
