Veterans throughout the Triad were reminded how much they are appreciated thanks to the efforts of various organizations and members of the community.

The Winston-Salem Urban League held a symposium which allowed veterans and support organizations to discuss mental health well-being and reintegrating into civilian life after service.

Guests were welcomed with music and a lunch followed by presentations and discussion by mental health professionals and veterans’ services organizations.

Veterans helped veterans at the Winston-Salem Barber School where customers with proof of service would receive a free haircut at any of the schools’ two locations.
