Robbery of Business

GREENSBORO, NC (April 19, 2017) – At 4:58am on 04/19/2017, Greensboro Police responded to the Murphy Express at 2107 16th Street, in reference to a robbery of business. An armed suspect entered the business brandishing a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the business in a dark colored SUV westbound towards 16th Street.

A few minutes earlier, at 4:56am, a suspect with a similar description attempted to rob the McDonald’s at 2001 East Cone Boulevard. Police are currently working to see if there are connections, if any.

The suspect is described as a young black male, 17-18 years old, light-skinned , 6′ tall, with a short afro. He was last seen wearing a black sweat suit with white stripes, possibly Adidas, and black shoes

No injuries were reported.

Investigation is ongoing.

The names and addresses of the employees are being withheld.
