Street Resurfacing Work Could Result in Standing Water Accumulation

GREENSBORO, NC (September 8, 2017) – Various City roads that have been milled down recently in preparation for resurfacing may hold extra water early next week if the Triad receives heavy rains due to Hurricane Irma.

Standing water accumulation could result on the following roadways and should be avoided by motorists:

* English Street from Market Street to Gate City Boulevard

* Sixteenth Street from Cone Boulevard to Summit Avenue

* Lee’s Chapel Road from Church Street to Yanceyville Street

* N. Elm Street from Cone Boulevard to Pisgah Church.
