A new trend in kids’ toys comes with a warning.
Mermaid tails, or monofins, were a popular Christmas gift for many children. The monofin fits over a person’s legs and feet and allows them to swim like a mermaid.
Monofins will be on display, and for sale, at NC MerMania in Greensboro. The event will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on January 2-3.
